We took the Friday night train from Lviv and were standing on the ridge by ten the next morning. Twelve of us, two guides, and lunch of bryndza and rye bread at the top. I have walked these mountains for years and still came home with two plant names I did not know.
I booked on Wednesday and travelled on Saturday. Group size was the part I cared about, and fourteen people meant nobody stood waiting at a junction.
